Short-term Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for Adolescents in High School with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Symptoms
Adolescents with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms face a number of stressors and triggers on a day-to-day basis both socially and academically. MBSR techniques (in the short-term, and implemented in a school environment) have been shown to help these populations face these stressors more effectively by increasing mindful awareness and attention and decreasing anxiety symptoms.
