Solving and Graphing Compound Inequalities with 'or'

To solve a compound inequality with 'or', first solve each of the individual inequalities separately. Then, find the solution set by identifying all numbers that make either inequality true. This solution is the union of the individual solution sets, representing all numbers belonging to either graph. The final solution is typically written in interval notation, often using the union symbol \cup to combine the disjoint intervals from each individual solution.
