Structure of the Lorenz Curve Graph

A Lorenz curve is plotted on a two-dimensional graph. The horizontal axis represents the cumulative percentage of the population, ordered from lowest to highest income, and ranges from 0 to 100. The vertical axis shows the cumulative percentage of total income held by the corresponding population segment, also ranging from 0 to 100. Each point on the curve is a coordinate pair representing (cumulative share of population, cumulative share of income).
