Two-Color Counter Model

To visualize integer arithmetic without relying on rote memorization, the two-color counter model uses physical or drawn tokens to represent positive and negative values. Commonly, a blue counter signifies a positive integer, while a red counter denotes a negative integer. Grouping and pairing these colored counters makes the processes of adding and subtracting integers highly intuitive.
