Watson's Extension of Classical Conditioning to Human Emotions
John B. Watson believed that the principles of classical conditioning, which Ivan Pavlov demonstrated with conditioned reflexes in dogs, were not limited to simple reflexes. He argued that these same principles could be applied to explain and condition complex human emotions.
