ABC Model in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

The ABC model is a foundational technique in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy used to understand the connection between events, thoughts, and outcomes. It consists of three core components: 'A' for Action or Activating Event, which is the external situation; 'B' for Belief, which represents the individual's thoughts and interpretation of the event; and 'C' for Consequences, which are the emotional and behavioral outcomes resulting from the belief.
