Researchers studying South Korea found air quality may have improved from March-April 2020 due to COVID-19 lock downs.

  • Daily average PM2.5 levels were recorded at 20.39 μg/m3 (45.45% decrease)
  • Daily average PM10 levels were recorded at 39.16 μg/m3 (35.56% decrease)
  • Daily average NO2 levels were recorded at 16.22 ppb (20.41% decrease)
  • Daily average CO levels were recorded at 0.387 ppm (17.33% decrease)
