As-Built Notes and Photos for Electrical Projects

As-built records document what was actually installed, including any changes from the original plans. For electrical contractors, this means marking up drawings to show actual conduit routes, junction box locations, and panel configurations. Field photos taken during rough-in are especially valuable because they show what is hidden behind finished walls. As-built records are part of the closeout package delivered to the owner and are critical for future maintenance or renovation. Incomplete or inaccurate as-builts are one of the most common reasons closeout drags past substantial completion.
