Cash Flow Keeps an Electrical Contractor Operating

Profit shows up in the records after the work is done, but cash flow determines whether the business can stay open long enough to earn that profit. A contractor may have profitable jobs on the books and still miss payroll, delay material purchases, or let insurance lapse if cash is not available when bills come due. Profit and cash flow both matter, but cash flow is the immediate measure of whether the business can meet its obligations during the project.
