Domains of Specialization
The principle of specialization extends beyond market-based production to various other organizational contexts. While markets enable individuals and companies to specialize in producing particular goods, specialization is also evident within firms through the organization of production processes. Furthermore, it is a feature of non-market institutions like governments and families, where in the latter, tasks such as household chores are often divided based on factors like age and gender.
