Instruction in both CORI and SI was measured in seven instructional practices:

• A) Knowledge goals for instruction

• B) Science integrated with reading

• C) Autonomy support

• D) Use of interesting texts

• E) Collaboration support

• F) Self-efficacy support

• G) SI

• CORI and SI had one motivational practice in common

• Teachers in the CORI group showed more implementation of the use of knowledge content goals, hands-on activities related to the knowledge goals, autonomy support for students, and collaboration support for students

• SI teachers scored higher than CORI teachers on support for self-efficacy
