Assessments of reading comprehension, strategy use, and reading motivation were conducted in a pretest in the first week of September 2001 and posttest in the third week of December 2001. The assessment consisted of the following:

- B) Student questioning
- C) Searching for information
- D) Multiple text reading comprehension
- E) Motivation for Reading Questionnaire Passage comprehension
