Increasing Reading Comprehension and Engagement Through Concept-Oriented Reading Instruction- Professional Development
Summer workshops were used to provide professional development for the teachers, using the two instructional models. CORI teachers participated in a 10-day workshop including multiple means of instruction. SI teachers participated in a 5-day instructional workshop. The SI workshop was shorter because it did not include the motivational activities that CORI contained.
