Performance Appraisals

Performance appraisals are systematic evaluations designed to determine if an employee is performing their job satisfactorily. Industrial-organizational psychologists play a key role in creating these systems, focusing on making them as fair, positive, and objective as possible. A primary goal in their design is to minimize the subjectivity involved in performance ratings.
