Polynomial

A polynomial is an algebraic expression composed of a single monomial, or two or more monomials combined by addition or subtraction. While every monomial, binomial, and trinomial qualifies as a polynomial, the broader term 'polynomial' is typically used for expressions with four or more terms that do not have special names. Examples of polynomials include expressions like y+1y + 1, 4a27ab+2b24a^2 - 7ab + 2b^2, and 4x4+x3+8x29x+14x^4 + x^3 + 8x^2 - 9x + 1.
