Pre-Bid Risk Review for Electrical Proposals

A pre-bid risk review is the final checkpoint before an electrical proposal is submitted or accepted. The reviewer should verify the full scope, exclusions, RFIs, addenda, site conditions, measured quantities, labor assumptions, supplier pricing and lead times, allowances, equipment costs, permits, inspections, and any unusual risks that could change the job’s true cost. If important scope items are still unclear, or the customer refuses to clarify them, the safest outcome may be to decline the bid rather than treat the job as an opportunity to gamble on a low price.
