Rational Emotive Therapy (RET)

Rational Emotive Therapy (RET) is an early form of cognitive-behavioral therapy founded by Albert Ellis. Its development was influenced by Ellis's dissatisfaction with Freudian psychoanalysis and by the work of behaviorists such as Joseph Wolpe.
