Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs)

Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) work by blocking the reabsorption of the neurotransmitter serotonin into neurons. This increases the levels of serotonin in the brain.

SSRIs include:

  • Citalopram

  • Escitalopram

  • Fluoxetine

  • Paroxetine

  • Sertraline
