Formula

The Pythagorean Theorem

The Pythagorean Theorem defines the relationship between the three side lengths of any right triangle. It states that the sum of the squares of the lengths of the two legs equals the square of the length of the hypotenuse: a2+b2=c2a^2 + b^2 = c^2. In this formula, aa and bb represent the lengths of the triangle's legs, and cc represents the length of the hypotenuse.
