COVID-19 on Students of Color: Methods
193 ethnically-diverse college-aged students (male=49%, female=49%) were recruited for the study from an internship program, provided by an organization that aims to provide career and leadership development for racially-diverse students.
- Participants disclosed demographic information pertaining to race, family income, financial aid, and if they have contracted COVID-19 during the pandemic.
Information was collected via a 16-item self-administered online survey:
- Information collected included included demographic information, and how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted their financial status, educational experience, and mental well-being.
- Participants were also asked if they personally experienced or witnessed acts of racial discrimination as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
