Description:

  • Conditions that result from diseases of the visual system, including the eyes and adnexa, as well as disease that affect the visual pathways and brain areas that initiate and control visual perception and visually guided behavior.

Excluded from This List:

  • Certain Conditions Originating in the Perinatal Period
  • Certain Infectious of Parasitic Diseases
  • Complications of Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Puerperium
  • Endocrine, Nutritional, or Metabolic Diseases
  • Injury, Poisoning, or Certain Other Consequences of External Causes
  • Posterior Cortical Atrophy

  • Neoplasms of the Eye or Ocular Adnexa
  • Reasons for Contact with the Health Care System in Relation to Eyes or Vision
