Marital and Social Dynamics
The survey looked at the social lives of visually impaired women in Nepal. Most of these women are single because of societal attitudes. However, those who have jobs tend to marry at higher rates. Family and community pressures make their lives even harder, but they continue to be strong. The study found that many families have members with disabilities, creating more challenges. The rate of having children is similar for both married women who work and those who do not.
