Concept
The Voices of Survivors
Three women shared their experiences of partner violence in in-depth interviews. Their stories highlight the emotional and physical abuse they face and their challenges in escaping these relationships. Fear of being judged, reliance on their partners, and low self-esteem keep them trapped. The interviews show how cultural norms often pressure women to stay quiet and put up with abuse for the sake of family unity. They also describe feelings of isolation and financial control imposed by their abusers.
