Prader-Willi Syndrome Behavioral Diagnostic Criteria
Behavioral diagnostic criteria for Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) vary by age. From birth to 2 years, early signs include a lack of muscle tone and poor sucking behavior. Between ages 6 and 12, developmental delays emerge. Later in onset, individuals typically experience excessive eating and cognitive deficits. Genetic testing can also be utilized alongside these behavioral criteria to make a diagnosis.
