Using Progress Billing to Support Contractor Cash Flow

Progress billing is a method of billing at set intervals during a project, usually each month, for the portion of work already completed. Instead of waiting until the job is fully finished, the contractor sends an Application for Payment as work advances. That payment request should reference the contract's Schedule of Values, which breaks the project into priced work items so each billed amount can be checked against the contract.
