Final Invoice and Project Closeout Packet

The last invoice should state the final reconciled contract amount after all approved change orders and any end-of-job adjustments. It should be submitted together with final lien waivers and a complete closeout packet that includes as-built drawings, product warranties, and inspection sign-offs. Final payment and any retainage are typically released only after that full package is delivered. When contractors collect these items throughout the project instead of waiting until the end, payment is usually received much sooner.
