Horizontal Asymptote of the Graph of an Exponential Function

The graph of an exponential function f(x)=axf(x) = a^x has a horizontal asymptote at the xx-axis, which corresponds to the line y=0y = 0. The graph approaches this line but never touches or crosses it.
