Shape of the Graph of an Exponential Function where 0<a<10 < a < 1

For an exponential function f(x)=axf(x) = a^x, if the base is between zero and one (0<a<10 < a < 1), the graph has a basic shape that goes down from left to right. This decreasing behavior contrasts with the graphs of exponential functions where a>1a > 1, which go up from left to right.
