y-intercept of the Graph of an Exponential Function

The graph of an exponential function f(x)=axf(x) = a^x always contains the point (0,1)(0, 1), making it the yy-intercept. This occurs because any non-zero base aa raised to the power of 00 equals 11 (a0=1a^0 = 1).
