Point (1,1a)(-1, \frac{1}{a}) on the Graph of an Exponential Function

The graph of an exponential function f(x)=axf(x) = a^x always contains the point (1,1a)(-1, \frac{1}{a}). This is a direct result of the rule for negative exponents, which dictates that a1=1aa^{-1} = \frac{1}{a}.
