Another striking observation from Figure 1.2 is the vast disparity in income levels across different countries. For instance, the average income in Norway is a staggering 19 times greater than the average income in Nigeria. Furthermore, even the bottom 10% of earners in Norway have an income that is nearly double that of the top 10% of earners in Nigeria.
