Student Perspectives on the Flipped-Classroom Approach and Collaborative Problem-Solving Process: Research Question 2 Results – Peer Interaction
Individual students were observed using 6 main behaviors while interacting with their group: “orienting, suggesting solutions, asking for conceptual information, asking for procedural information, requesting confirmation, and explaining.” Figure 5 illustrates the participation level and behaviors of each student within the groups. Groups 1, 4, and 5 seemed to have a single student dominate the discussion and serve as a group leader while groups 2 and 3 had more equal student contributions. The students in all groups encouraged one another.
