Section 17

Original content

English translation

The sages have said that, just as the world becomes prosperous through justice, so it is laid to ruin through oppression. Justice, from its own quarter, casts light across a thousand leagues, and oppression, from its own place, spreads darkness across a thousand leagues.

Strive for justice, for when it dawns like the morning, Its radiance travels out to a thousand leagues. When the gloom of oppression appears, it spreads its wings, Filling the world with darkness, bitter living, and constriction.
