عذر را با آن غرامت کرد جفت
مر سؤال شیخ را داد او جواب
چون جوابات خضر خوب و صواب
آن جوابات سؤالات کلیم
کش خضر بنمود از رب علیم
گشت مشکلهاش حل و افزون ز یاد
از پی هر مشکلش مفتاح داد
از خضر درویش هم میراث داشت
در جواب شیخ همت بر گماشت
English Translation & Context
In Book Two, Section 103 of the Masnavi, a dervish (poor disciple) apologizes to the spiritual master (Shaykh) and responds to his inquiries regarding the nature of moderation. His profound responses resolve the master's questions, drawing an analogy to the wise answers given by Khidr to Moses.
