English translation

But rarely does a seeker appear for whom, through radiance, that lie becomes beneficial. By his good intention he reaches a place, though he supposed it to be spirit and it turned out to be body. Like one who, in the heart of night, makes a careful search for the qibla: it is not the qibla, yet his prayer is valid. In the claimant's head there is a famine of soul, but for us the famine of bread is outward. Why should we hide like the claimant and torment ourselves for the sake of false reputation?
