Book One - Section 94 - The Parrot Bidding Farewell to the Master and Flying Away

Original content

English translation

The parrot gave him one or two counsels, sincerely; then said to him, "Peace: farewell." The master said to him, "Go in God's protection; you have now shown me a new path." The master said to himself, "This counsel is for me; I will take his way, for this path is bright. When is my soul any less than a parrot? A soul should be like this: good-footed, well able to go."
