English translation

Then I will say that I am secretly a Christian, O God, the Knower of secrets, You know me. The king became aware of my faith, And out of bigotry, he intended to take my life. I wanted to hide my religion from the king, And make apparent the religion that is his. The king caught a scent of my secrets, And my words became suspect before the king. He said, 'Your words are like a needle in bread; There is a window from my heart to your heart. Through that window I saw your state; I saw your state, I will not drink your speech. If it were not for the life of Jesus as my remedy, He would have torn me to pieces in a Jewish manner. For the sake of Jesus I will give up my life and offer my head, I place a hundred thousand obligations upon myself. I do not withhold my life from Jesus, but I am very well aware of the knowledge of his religion. It was a pity for me that that pure religion Should perish among the ignorant. Thanks be to God and to Jesus that we Have become the guide to that religion of Truth. We have escaped from the Jew and Jewishness, Since we have bound our waist with the zunnar. The era is the era of Jesus, O people! Listen to the secrets of his religion with your soul.' The king did with him that deed which he had said; The people remained bewildered by that hidden deceit. He drove him towards the Christians; After that, he began to preach.
