جان رفت و به ذوق زندگانی نرسید
تن رفت و به هیچ کامرانی نرسید

وین غمکش شبرو که دلش میخوانند
هرگز روزی به شادمانی نرسید

English translation

The soul departed and did not reach the taste of life, The body departed and did not attain any fulfillment of desires, And this night-traveling sorrow-bearer that they call the heart, Never reached happiness for a single day.
