احمد آخر زمان را انتقال
در ربیع اول آید بی جدال

چون خبر یابد دلش زین وقت نقل
عاشق آن وقت گردد او به عقل

چون صفر آید شود شاد از صفر
که پس این ماه می‌سازم سفر

هر شبی تا روز زین شوق هدی
ای رفیق راه اعلی می‌زدی

گفت هر کس که مرا مژده دهد
چون صفر پای از جهان بیرون نهد

که صفر بگذشت و شد ماه ربیع
مژده‌ور باشم مر او را و شفیع

گفت عکاشه صفر بگذشت و رفت
گفت که جنت ترا ای شیر زفت

دیگری آمد که بگذشت آن صفر
گفت عکاشه ببرد از مژده بر

پس رجال از نقل عالم شادمان
وز بقااش شادمان این کودکان

چونک آب خوش ندید آن مرغ کور
پیش او کوثر نیامد آب شور

هم‌چنین موسی کرامت می‌شمرد
که نگردد صاف اقبال تو درد

گفت احسنت و نکو گفت ولیک
تا کنم من مشورت با یار نیک

English translation

Ahmad of the End of Time — his departure Comes in Rabi' al-Awwal, without dispute When his heart receives news of this time of passing He falls in love with that time, by reason When Safar arrives, he grows glad at Safar For after this month, I shall make my journey Every night until dawn, from this longing for guidance O companion of the highest road, you would raise your cry He said: Whoever brings me glad tidings When Safar lifts its foot out of the world — That Safar has passed and the month of Rabi' has come — I shall be his bearer of glad tidings and his intercessor 'Ukkasha said: Safar has passed and gone He said: Paradise is yours, O mighty lion Another came and said: That Safar has passed He said: 'Ukkasha has already borne away the fruit of glad tidings So the men of God rejoice at the soul's departure from the world While these children rejoice at its remaining Since the blind bird has not seen sweet water Bitter water does not appear to it as Kawthar Likewise Moses counted it a grace That the clarity of your fortune would not turn to dregs He said: Well done, and he spoke well, but Let me first take counsel with a good friend
