Section 13 - On the explanation that greed, which is among the blights, is incompatible with the virtue of justice

Original content

English translation

Whoever's heart becomes inclined toward justice, Tell them to sever greed for the wealth of the people. Greed and justice are fire and water, When will they ever settle in one place? When greed knocks on the door of the dwelling, Justice flees out the window. Since greed is a disgrace for a beggar, How can such an inclination befit a king? It is a pity for a king of auspicious glory, To seek oppression in pursuit of gold and ornaments. The ornament of a king is simply the attribute of kingship, Tell him not to give his heart to anyone's gold and ornaments.
