Section 17 - Allusion to What They Have Said: The Sufi is Ka'in Ba'in

Original content

English translation

Whoever God gave the light of His gnosis, 'Ka'in ba'in' became his attribute. The soul to God, the body to other than God is 'ka'in', The body from God, the soul from other than God is 'ba'in'. His outward appearance is connected to creation, His inward being is disconnected from creation. From within, an acquaintance and a housemate, And from without, in the garb of a stranger. The path of the people of blame (Malamatis) is this path, And from loss, this path is safety. Arise Jami, and be the dust of this path, Whatever you have, scatter upon the dust of this path.
