بخش ۲۸ - در بیان آنکه آنچه گذشت مذمت ذکر سر و جهر نیست بلکه مذمت جماعتی است که آن را وسیله لذات جسمانی و شهوات نفسانی ساخته اند / Section 28 - On Explaining That What Preceded Is Not a Condemnation of Hidden or Loud Remembrance, But Rather a Condemnation of a Group Who Have Made It a Means for Bodily Pleasures and Carnal Desires

متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation

آنچه کردم بیان درین گفتارنیست بر ذکر سر و جهر انکار
What I explained in this discourse,
Is not a denial of hidden or loud remembrance.
غیر ذکر خدا چه سر و چه جهرنیست دل را نصیب و جان را بهر
Other than the remembrance of God, whether hidden or loud,
The heart has no portion and the soul has no share.
هست انکار من بر آنکه کسیسازد آن را وسیله هوسی
My denial is upon the one who,
Makes it a means for a whim;
خویش را ز اهل حق کند به دروغتا ستاند بهای تره و دوغ
Falsely presents himself as a man of truth,
To take the price of herbs and buttermilk;
زیر پای آورد کتاب خدایتا نهد شیشه شراب به جای
He tramples the book of God underfoot,
To put a glass of wine in its place;
عشر زرین بدزدد از مصحفتا کند زیب چنگ و زیور دف
He steals the golden illuminations from the Quran,
To adorn the harp and decorate the tambourine;
سازد از نیزه حسین درفشتا به پای یزید دوزد کفش
He makes a banner from the spear of Husayn,
To sew shoes for the feet of Yazid.
خود نزیبد ز مردم داناجز برای خدای ذکر خدا
Indeed, it is not fitting for wise people,
To remember God for anything other than God.
زیرک هوشمند نقد نفیسکی پسندد طفیل جنس خسیس
How would an intelligent, astute person accept a precious coin,
As a subordinate to a base commodity?
هر که از بود خویش یافت خلاصشد مشرف به خلعت اخلاص
Whoever found deliverance from his own existence,
Became honored with the robe of sincerity.
چون ز اخلاص گشت دولتمندذکر او خواه پست و خواه بلند
When he became wealthy through sincerity,
His remembrance, whether low or loud, is accepted.
وان که در مانده وجود خود استصید دام شقاوت ابد است
And the one who remains trapped in his own existence,
Is prey to the trap of eternal wretchedness;
سر او جهر او تمام ریاستوز ریاگر برست عجب به جاست
His hidden and his loud (remembrance) are entirely hypocrisy,
And if he escapes hypocrisy, conceit takes its place.
