باب ذکر ائمهٔ صوفیه (بخش دوازدهم کشف المحجوب) / Kashf al-Mahjub, Chapter 12 - Biographies of the Sufi Masters

Overview

Chapter 12 of Kashf al-Mahjub is Hujwiri's ordered survey of the early Sufi masters who came after the Companions and the Followers. Within this chapter he devotes a short section to each master — including Abu al-Abbas Ahmad ibn Masruq — recording the master's rank among the friends of God, the teachers and companions he kept, and a characteristic saying that captures his path.

Reading any single biography (such as Section 48) presupposes this chapter's shared frame: a chained genealogy of masters and disciples through which spiritual authority and doctrine are transmitted. The chapter therefore groups these excerpts and supplies the context needed to place each individual figure.
