باب ۱۲ کشف المحجوب - در ذکر ائمهٔ متصوفه / Kashf al-Mahjub Chapter 12 - On the Imams (Masters) of the Sufis

This is the twelfth chapter (bab) of Hujwiri's Kashf al-Mahjub, the biographical chapter in which the author profiles the Sufi masters (mashayikh) one after another, each notice introduced by the formula wa minhum (and among them). For each master it records his line of discipleship, his standing among his peers, and a characteristic saying followed by Hujwiri's own commentary. The individual master-biographies — such as those of Abu Sulayman al-Darani, Ahmad ibn Abi al-Hawari, Ahmad ibn Khadrawayh al-Balkhi, Hamdun al-Qassar, and Abu al-Hasan al-Nuri — are the sections that belong under this chapter.
