خواجهٔ اول که اول یار اوست
ثانی اثنین اذهما فی الغار اوست

صدر دین صدیق اکبر قطب حق
در همه چیز از همه برده سبق

هرچ حق از بارگاه کبریا
ریخت در صدر شریف مصطفی

آن همه در سینهٔ صدیق ریخت
لاجرم تا بود ازو تحقیق ریخت

چون دو عالم را به یک دم درکشید
لب ببست از سنگ و خوش دم درکشید

سر فرو بردی همه شب تا به روز
نیم شب هویی برآوردی بسوز

هوی او تا چین برفتی مشک بار
مشک کردی خون آهوی تتار

زین سبب گفت آفتاب شرع و دین
علم باید جست ازینجا تا به چین

سنگ زان بودی به حکمت در دهانش
نا به سنگ و هنگ هو گوید زفانش

نی که سنگش بر زفان بگرفت راه
تا نگوید هیچ نامی جز آله

سنگ باید تا پدید آید وقار
مردم بی سنگ کی آید به کار

چون عمر مویی بدید از قدراو
گفت کاش آن مویمی بر صدر او

چون تو کردی ثانی اثنینش قبول
ثانی اثنین او بود بعد رسول

English translation

The first master, who was his first companion, He is the second of the two when they were in the cave. The leader of the religion, the greatest truthful, the pole of truth, In everything, he has surpassed all others. Whatever the Truth from the court of grandeur Poured into the noble chest of Mustafa, He poured it all into the chest of the truthful (Siddiq); Consequently, as long as he lived, truth and investigation flowed from him. When he drew in both worlds in a single breath, He closed his lips with a stone and breathed in contentedly. He would bow his head all night until daybreak, At midnight, he would utter a burning sigh ('Hu'). His sigh would reach as far as China, laden with musk, Making musk of the blood of the Tartar deer. For this reason, the Sun of the Law and Religion said: 'Knowledge must be sought, even unto China.' The stone was in his mouth out of wisdom, So that his tongue would speak of Him with weight and dignity, Nay, the stone blocked his tongue So that he would speak no name other than God. A stone (weight) is needed for dignity to appear; Of what use is a weightless person? When Umar saw a hair's worth of his value, He said, 'Would that I were a hair on his chest!' Since you accepted him as the second of the two, He was the second of the two after the Messenger.
