On the Virtue of the Commander of the Faithful Uthman, May Allah Be Pleased with Him
Original content
English translation
The Master of the Sunnah who is absolute light, Rather, the lord of the two lights full of truth. He who has come drowned in holiness and gnosis, The leader of the faith, Uthman Affan has come. The elevation that the banner of faith attained, It received from the Commander of the Faithful Uthman. The splendor that the arena of the two worlds found, It found from the light-filled heart of Dhul-Nurayn. The second Joseph, according to the words of Mustafa, The sea of piety and modesty, the mine of loyalty. He attended to the affairs of the kindred with his soul, He sacrificed his own soul in their service. They beheaded him while he was sitting, [Asking] 'Why have you constantly maintained the ties of kinship?' Both guidance in the world and excellence prevailed, His community became more numerous in his era. Also in his era faith became widespread, Also by his command the Quran was disseminated. The Master of masters said that in heaven The angels are always modest before Uthman. Also the Prophet said in revelation and unveiling, 'God will not rebuke Uthman.' Since he was not there to accept the pledge of allegiance, The hand of the Messenger was in place of his hand. Those present said, 'We would have benefited If we had been absent like Dhul-Nurayn.'
