English translation

O you enthroned at the head of the throne of the two worlds, seed and fruit of the tree of the two worlds. O first of thought and last of deed, O qibla of the seven and cream of the four. When you turned your face toward this abode, and set these seven camels in caravan-train, the Throne, for all its grandeur, became your carpet in this camel-riding. From the camel's feet, the marks upon the road: one is the sun, the other the moon. Jesus, who was content seated on a donkey, was a halter-puller before your camel; the thread-end of his rank and esteem fell into his hand from that halter. O, your she-camel, with its red hair, gave honor to the two worlds. Its color, wondrously ordered like the twilight glow, was the after-glow to the sun of your face. If the sphere did not wish to share its hue, why each evening does it turn twilight-colored? A star its eye and a crescent its neck; from it the Bactrian camel of the sphere is bright-eyed. The hastening steps it took upon the road, from them four shining full moons appeared. Its hump lofty in worth like Mount Sinai, and from your truth, the effulgence of light upon it. O pearl of the thread of intimacy, your back is made strong by the finality of prophethood. The kingdom placed the seal in your fist; out of majesty you set your back upon it. Yours alone is the divine caliphate; kings take pride in your caliphate. In your bosom is the seal of the caliphate, shining behind you out of grace. With your fortune the throne is firm-pledged; Solomon is but a seal-keeper for you. Your seal was seal-making upon his soul; in your court he was a seal-stamper. He set his hand upon the throne of Bilqis; yours is the foot upon the summit of the throne of sanctity. He, in the ranks of beasts and the station of birds, was in need of the hoopoe traveling to Sheba; Gabriel, with lordship crowning his head, before you is in need of being a hoopoe. O goal of the workshop of destiny, aim of the forty mornings of fermentation. In the soil of will, the first planting; in the palace of prophethood, the last brick. This palace, from no created being, has seen a single brick to match your mold. With you, what gain comes from others? You are a brick of gold, and others clay. Higher than the firmament is your resting-place; the bricks of moon and sun are the carpet of your path. From that door where a work may issue from you, open for us but a brick's-worth. O you through whom, by the promise of intercession, the hearts of the bankrupt in obedience are made glad, we hold the fortune of obedience from you, we hold the hope of intercession from you. Pure of heart from excess and from default, we are tasters at your table. Our heart is the corner of your bounty; our head is upon the road of your family. We rejoice in your renowned family; we are friends to all your four companions, those four pillars of the house of religion, and those four lamps of the assembly of steadfastness. Each one worthy of your caliphate; all four are one, and each one four. They stand aligned together in oneness; estrangement springs from our own meddling. Kings harmonious in tune through purity, holding the dog-natured army in their grip. May my soul be given to the honor of meeting them; may my heart lie in the shelter of their fidelity.
