هر چه بینی به زیر چرخ کبود
که کند جنبش از عدم به وجود

گرچه اول نموده روی اینجاست
جنبش آن ز عالم بالاست

نیست روزی به نزد ما و شبی
کش نباشد ز آسمان سببی

بی سبب ز آسمان نتابد نور
بی سبب بر زمین نجنبد مور

لاجرم نکته جوی دانش کیش
چرخ پیما به فکر دور اندیش

ز اختلافات گردش افلاک
مختلف وضع ها کند ادراک

بیند از هر یکی جدا اثری
کان اثر را نبیند از دگری

آورد حکم های گوناگون
از برای جهانیان بیرون

زید احکام سعد و نحس شناس
زان به امید جفت زین به هراس

آن به هر دولتش نوید آرد
وین خلل در ره امید آرد

به چنین علم جمله محتاجند
خاصه آنان که صاحب تاج اند

هست در رزم و بزم و گشت و شکار
اختیارات وقتشان در کار

زان کز آسیبشان فتد به مثل
در همه کار و بار خلق خلل

همه عالم تن اند و ایشان دل
کار بر تن ز دل بود مشکل

تا بود دل درون تن به صلاح
به صلاح است تن صباح و رواح

ور فسادی به دل رسد ناگاه
به همه تن فساد یابد راه

ای بسا حکم های روشن و راست
همچو الهام و وحی بی کم و کاست

که جهد از زبان اهل نجوم
صدق آن عاقبت شود معلوم

بنده را روی در خلد آرد
صورت بندگی بجا آرد

دل او زین سرا بگرداند
رخش همت بدان سرا راند

English translation

Whatever you see under the blue dome, Which moves from non-existence into existence, Though it first appears here, Its movement is from the world above. There is no day or night for us, That does not have a cause from the heavens. Without cause, light does not shine from the sky; Without cause, an ant does not move on the earth. Inevitably, the subtle seeker of knowledge-based faith, The sky-measurer with far-reaching thoughts, From the variations in the rotation of the heavens, Perceives different circumstances. Sees a separate effect from each one, Which he does not see from another. Brings forth various judgments, For the people of the world. The one who knows the auspicious and inauspicious judgments lives, Paired with hope from that one, and with fear from this. That one brings tidings of every prosperity, And this one brings disruption in the path of hope. To such knowledge, all are in need, Especially those who wear the crown. In battle, banquet, travel, and hunting, Their choices of timing are at work, Because, for example, from any harm to them, Disruption falls upon all the affairs of the people. The whole world is the body and they are the heart; The task for the body is difficult due to the heart. As long as the heart within the body is in order, The body is in order morning and evening. But if corruption suddenly reaches the heart, Corruption finds its way to the entire body. O, how many clear and correct judgments, Like inspiration and revelation, complete and without lack, Leap from the tongues of the astrologers, And their truth eventually becomes known. It turns the servant's face toward paradise, And performs the form of servitude. It turns his heart away from this world, And drives the steed of his ambition toward that world.
