بخش ۱۱۲ - در مذمت آنان که بنای مذهب خود بر کم آزاری نهاده اند و در ورطه اباحت و الحاد افتاده / Section 112 - In Condemnation of Those Who Have Based Their Creed on Non-Harmfulness and Have Fallen into the Abyss of Permissiveness and Heresy

Original content

English translation

Anyone from whom the dervish is repulsed, How could such behavior ever come from a dervish? This is not dervishhood; this is heresy; This is not integration; this is dispersion. Having memorized the terminology of the mystics, He speaks them fluently and rapidly. His heart is unaware of the secret of the matter; Countless claims of gnosis, yet he is no mystic. Like an empty walnut, he appears fine, But when you crack it, you find no kernel. He has placed the illusions and whims of the reckless Into the worship of the pure ones. His words are pure, but their meaning is rotten, Like a Chinese musk-gland wrapped in dung. Without opening the musk-gland, he scatters musk, But if you open it, it stinks up the world. The master's refraining from hurting others Is the preface to the book of disbelief. What is forbidden has become acceptable to him, And his reins are directed toward the forbidden. His self, fleeing hardship and seeking comfort, Turns its face toward the path of permissiveness. The forbidden and the permissible have become one to him; He does not worry about punishment or ruin. He commits forbidden acts And runs after vain amusements. At times, he boasts of the creed of detachment, And at times, he exaggerates about the fountain of unity. This is the boast and exaggeration of that misguided one, But if you search him thoroughly, His creed is the accumulation of silver and gold, His drink is the wine of grapes. Neither does he take warning from his past state, Nor does he have any knowledge of his future state. Devoid of the signs of intellect and religion, His creed is confined solely to harmlessness. His mantra, from the ancient libertines, is: 'Do not hurt anyone, and do whatever you wish.' He associates himself with the dervishes, And speaks of his devotion to them.
