Original content

English translation

The meaning of 'Indeed, Allah intends' Is this to the aware gnostic: That from the pollution of uncleanness and corruption, God intends the purification of the Household (Ahl al-Bayt). It is not hidden from the possessors of understanding, That uncleanness is the worst of sins. Since uncleanness is slip and disobedience, Its purification is nothing but forgiveness. Therefore, all the People of the Household are forgiven, And they are far from the punishments of the Hereafter. Since their responsibility is free from sin, They cannot be condemned for it. Even if you do not hold their sphere infallible from disobedience, Do not make them censured for blameworthy traits. If you know of a transgression from one of them, Which you cannot conceal according to the Shariah, Execute the Shariah's rulings upon him, And disavow whatever is not lawful. Do not let your personal nature enter into it, Do not corrupt your own religion thereby. And if one of them should enter into a state of cruelty and disrespect Toward one of the Prophet's companions, Gently prevent him from that story, And speak to him of the ruling of the Shariah. Do not open your lips to abusive speech, Do not wash away inappropriate conduct with inappropriate speech. Do not insult him out of bigotry, Do not mention his name except with good manners. What wonder if they overlook those idle words of his For the sake of the Prophet's soul? While you might be held accountable for that nonsense Which found its way onto your tongue. These are the People of the Household of purity, These are the light of the eye of insight. They are the stars of the constellation of Shariah and faith, They are the pearls in the casket of truthfulness and benevolence. They benefit from the Prophet and his lineage, As they have said, 'The child is the secret of his father.' All of them are parts of that lamp of the paths, And in the part, there is a scent of the whole. That scent becomes the source of influence; The part is like copper, and that is the elixir. When the effect of the elixir manifests, Even if the copper is a mountain, it turns to gold. This copper has turned to pure gold by the elixir, Although to the senses, it still appears as copper. Before the senses it is copper, but before the intellect it is gold; Before the former it is stone, and before the latter it is a gem. Do not reject gold and gems based on sensory perception, For the errors of the senses have no limit. If pure gold is mixed with copper, The value of the gold does not decrease because of it. The color of copper on the face of gold is not adulteration, But is merely a covering for strangers. Adulteration is when a counterfeiting goldsmith Presents copper in the form of pure gold, So that an ignoramus may be deceived by it, Take that counterfeit copper, and count it as gold.
